[SOLVED] Fixed channel mon0: -1 with aircrack-ng

Just wanting to know if anyone else is experiencing this issue with aircrack-ng (I have iwlagn).

Googled for a while and the solution seems to be re-compiling compat-wireless with a patch. I compiled both compat-wireless-patched and compat-wireless-patched-daily from AUR but that did not solve it, so I wonder what the correct solution is.

I'm thinking about updating to the kernel in [testing] but every time I did it in the past, something broke.

If you can, try to patch the kernel with maxim's patch. It works ok here. I don't use compat-wireless-patched.

Doing it at this moment...

when need use aircrack-ng, i used backtrack Livecd.

I don't see the point on running a LiveCD, when I already have a Linux system.

Nice! Btw, see here how I patch my kernel version with maxim's patch: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kernel26-nx/PKGBUILD

patch -Np1 -i ${srcdir}/channel-negative-one-maxim.patch

I think you can also use http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=14693 since it has the fix in it, if I'm not mistaken.

i think this nor fix my prb with this i do all this and this cant fix my prb i have 3 wifi cards

i try the 2 ways and this fix my prb

makepkg -s way dos not fix my prb its make prb when i install the pkg

amrdarwish, I suggest you to try to learn to write sentences first, and then someone will possibly _try_ to understand and help you.
