not that i need much security ( im just a home user who like some controle over his pc) but i was just wondering about the security in arch out of the box.

true (the part with it's as secure as you consider it to be) but as a rule of thumb especially if you're connected to a local network use an usual user, even if this implies writing your password almost all the time. Make your user so it would be in the sudoers file just to make your life a little bit easier.
