Missing certain characters on server

For a web app certain characters aren't being displayed properly on the live server, but all is good on my dev box each of which is running archlinux.  Seeing as the locale of the server is set to en_US.utf8 I would think things should work properly.

What am I missing?

Is there a way to view all the installed pacman packages to allow for a comparison?

Good to know

There are way to many libraries installed to make a comparison easy.  Does anyone have an idea of what is missing on the server?
