Every now and then, probably one in every four boots, KDE doesn't see that I have a battery. Even if I am currently running on battery (and I am able to run on battery for about six hours) it still claims that it's not present. If it has this problem, I just reboot once or twice and it goes away until the next time I boot up or so.
I tried installing Kubuntu 11.04 on a spare hard drive, and I do not have this problem with Kubuntu. I don't plan on using Kubuntu, but I wanted to rule out my hardware as a potential problem.
Are any of you familiar with this problem?

Sorry to bump, but this is driving me nuts. The error is that the KDE battery icon will sometimes show an "x" and claim "battery not present." This happens about one out of every four boots. It will claim that the battery isn't present whether I'm running on battery or AC.
Edit: Here is my rc.conf, perhaps the order of my daemons is the problem? Does anything look wrong?
