Makepkg options

Ok, so I'm trying to get started helping w/ the i586 project but I want to use my i686 to build the packages, much faster (175MHz v. 2.08GHz), any way my question is about the -j option how exactly does one use it to change the makeflags passed to the compliers? Also is there anything like this available for gensync and/or makeworld

If nothing else I'll just edit my makepkg.conf everytime I want to make packages for each of my different systems.

Re: Makepkg options

i can't answer your question but makepkg is written in bash so you can easily(if you know bash) find out how it works,

but it must be faster to edit makepkg.conf instead, just move one #,

arch + gentoo + initng + python = enlisy

Re: Makepkg options

That's kinda what I was thinking but I wanted to get someone else's oppinion on it, I didn't realize makepkhg was written in bash but I guess it makes sense.

Thanks xerxes
