Firefox sync: unknown error while syncing

Has anyone gotten firefox sync to work with firefox from [extra]? I can connect but I always get an unknown error when trying to actually sync. When running in a terminal no output is given.
Any advice?

Try to update firefox sync first, usually this happen when new version of firefox sync is out

The same version combinations work on a windows box... Sync is also at the latest version (1.5).

Hm that's weird, everything work fine here both on Arch and XP.

According to this site http://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/942916-firefox-sync/ possibly is bug
Oh btw, take a look at your sync log, open new empty tab then

about:sync-log

Anyone here have same issue?

I have the same problem, I solved it by following this:
