vlc-plugin error in Firefox4

I updated firefox and after some time using it i found unable to launch it, after trying from console im getting this error message:

firefox: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libvlcplugin.so: undefined symbol: NPP_Initialize

Appartently just uninstalling solves it but you get no vlc plugin. After re-install it worked for a while, but today im getting that error again. Does anyone have information about this?

Apparently theres a bug reported in ubuntu, and i found this explanation about its possible cause.

Thanks.

I received the same error today, and also resolved it by removing the vlc-plugin.

Re: vlc-plugin error in Firefox4

there's a new package version of vlc and vlc-plugin in extra, maybe the bug was fixed.
