xplanet problem

I've tried starting xplanet and I'm getting:

Sorry, this program was not compiled with JPEG support
Can't read day image file earth.jpg.

Map files may be obtained from the sources listed at
http://xplanet.sourceforge.net.

By default, xplanet will look for maps in the following order:
the current directory
the images subdirectory
/usr/share/xplanet/images

Use the -mapdir option to specify an alternate directory.

Is this something I did wrong?

Re: xplanet problem

did you compile this app yourself? do you have libjpeg (or something like that installed)?

if the answer is no to both install libjpeg than recompile/rebuild the app using the pkgbuild or the standard compilation steps.

Re: xplanet problem

No ma'am.  It's the xplanet that came with my FTP install.

Re: xplanet problem

You're right, the package was not built properly.  A new release is up on the ftp server.
