[SOLVED] Wacom tablet not working

I got a new Bamboo Pen & Touch (CTH460/K) tablet today yesterday but I can't get it to work in Arch. It seems like I'm missing something trivial, I just can't figure out what that would be.

What isn't working:

  • Nothing happens when I try to use the stylus or the "touch pad", although the lamp on the tablet indicates that the hardware works (e.g. it turns red when I use the stylus).

  • cat /dev/input/wacom doesn't "make lots of odd characters appear onscreen" as it should according to the wiki

Here is what I've done:

  • Plugged in the tablet

  • Installed the linuxwacom-bamboo-cth-ctl package from AUR

  • Commented out "evdev touchpad catchall" and "evdev tablet catchall" (the whole sections) in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf to remove "Applying InputClass "evdev touchpad/tablet catchall" (/var/log/Xorg.0.log)

Installed packages:

  • linuxwacom-bamboo-cth-ctl-0.10.10-14

  • xorg-server-1.9.2-2

  • udev-165-1

  • kernel26-2.6.36.3-1

Some output:

  • lsusb | grep Wacom

Bus 001 Device 010: ID 056a:00d6 Wacom Co., Ltd
  • /var/log/Xorg.0.log when plugging in the tablet:

Re: [SOLVED] Wacom tablet not working

Version 0.10.10-15 fixed it.

Version 15 added driver side support for d6 and d7 models, that means CTH-460/K and CTH-461/S aka Wacom BambooPT 2FG 4x5 and Small. They should be fully working out of box now.

Re: [SOLVED] Wacom tablet not working

Doesn't work for me either with CTH-460. Incidentally, mine reads "056a:00d6 Wacom Co., Ltd" when issuing lsusb, and not "056a:00d6 Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch (CTH-460)".

kernel 2.6.37
linuxwacom-bamboo-cth-ctk 0.10.99.1-1
Xorg 1.9.4.901
