TeamSpeak2 Client

Hello, I looked on google first, and didn't find anything..  But I can't get TeamSpeak2 RC2 working on Arch, I have no idea why it won't load after I click the TS2RC2 Setup file within TeamSpeak2RC2, anybody else have/had this issue, and ever solved it??  Thanks !!

Re: TeamSpeak2 Client

Why not just use the AUR package? Works for me:

For me, the best way was to install yaourt and then use yaourt instead of pacman. There are quite a few explanations on the wiki pages, it shouldn't be hard to follow.

Re: TeamSpeak2 Client

Well, first you should do it by hand, in keeping with the Arch philosophy of knowing just what the hell you're doing before you do it. The wiki is, as usual, very clear on how to do it:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR

Then, perhaps, you can try a helper app that scripts the steps for you. Personally, after using yaourt for a while, I went to bauerbill and have never looked back:

Re: TeamSpeak2 Client

Why won't the TS work from my folder anyway?  am I missing something?  I have the dependencies installed, wont load after clicking it.  As for PKGBUILD, I have to right click, and click save as I guess..

It is much better idea to grab the Tarbell file instead of just the PKGBUILD.  The Tarbell includes the PKGBUILD, plus any install scripts and patches and the directory structure.  Download the Tarbell, unpack it, change into the directory,  Do a makepkg and it just works a high percentage of the time.  Just right click the tarbell as you had proposed for the PKGBUILD.   Unpack it with tar -xfv the_name_of_the_tarbell

Thanks, already got it figured out, smile. But having another issue though, the Microphone part on it is disabled, meaning there's something wrong with my Sound Card, I looked on wiki found a few things, tried them, same results, any other trouble shooting steps I can take?
