What type of Apps can Linux run.
*Windows?
*or does it just run apps that you by just for Linux
Arch runs *nix type applications natively (without the use of helper applications). It can also run some Windows applications with the help of Wine.
Is there a specific application you are looking to run in Arch? As there are a wide variety of free/open source applications available that will duplicate almost anything found on Windows.

and no, you don't "buy" linux apps. you download them for free - philosophically backed by the gnu project and the free software foundation...

thanks thats all i need
linux software is "free" in the open source sense, you still have to pay for some linux software; transgaming's winex, vmware, cpanel, etc. Open Source's "free" just means that once you buy GPL software you are entitled to the source as well and are free to do what you want to it. Unlike microsoft, where it is a voilation of the EULA to try to reverse-engineer or otherwise obtain the source for MS apps.
