Need help installing Arch on a SSD

Hi folks,

I upgraded my EEE 1201N laptop with a 64gb Kingston SSD.
I have a few questions regarding how to install Arch on a SSD:

1. Whats the best partition scheme?
2. How do I enable the TRIM function (the wiki says 'add discard option to fstab'?)
3. Do i need to think of anything else...?!

Thanks for the help!

Sven

1. There is a rather long, in-depth article in the wiki already. Have a look  here and here
2. is discribed there as well.

Re: Need help installing Arch on a SSD

If you use an Android ISO to install to SD-card, that card automatically becomes
bootable using grub.

You then can put other things on that SD-card instead of the Android files.

I spent quite a bit of time making SD-cards bootable under grub on my eeePC,
but this worked first time every time.

Tom.
