Hi guys,
Ive got gnome3 installed, everythings working fine, however i noticed if i play a youtube video in firefox, then try and play something in rhythmbox afterwards, there is no longer any sound (either in youtube or in any other program)
It seems like flash is keeping hold of the output, and the only way to return sound to the system is restart firefox.
I used to have these issues years ago with alsa/oss.
Are there any specific libraries required to allow playing audio from multiple sources with pulseaudio or something?
Cheers
Kane

Have you tried running firefox/flash video from terminal and seeing if there is any error going on once you close it?
I laugh, yet the joke is on me

After further testing, it seems sound continues to work fine within flash, but all other programs cannot play sound.
No errors from rhytmbox or exaile though.
There is this error from firefox:
ALSA lib pcm.c:2171:(snd_pcm_open_conf) Cannot open shared library /opt/lib32/usr/lib/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so

Also, if i use html5 videos on youtube using webwm, both interact fine, and i can play both at the same time, so its definitley an issues with flash.
Just trying to install flashplugin pulse library

Ok after installing libflashsupport-pulse , i still have the same issue with the same warning.
If i play music (through exaile or rhythmbox) before opening youtube, exaile and rhytmbox continue to play music (but flash has no sound), if i open youtube before opening exaile or rhythmbox then neither play any sound (but youtube does)
