Hi out there!
I just downloaded Aurora from https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/channel/ as a 'loyal' FireFox4-BetaTester I decided too stay with that on Version 5. But after unpacking the downloaded package, and running ./firefox I just get:
./firefox-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libpangoft2-1.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
So whats wrong with this? A 'locate libpangoft2-1.0.so.0' outputs
/usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so
/usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so.0
/usr/lib/libpangoft2-1.0.so.0.2800.4
so it exists. Am I finally to dumb to install a browser?
Any help would be nice...

maybe you are on x86_64 and you got the i686 tarball?
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Success! I can't believe that eluded me.
For the OP the link to the 64 bit version is
wget http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/firefox-5.0a2.en-US.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2
