Hi guys,
got a couple of things holding me back from full enjoyment of Gnome 3. The guides available online are starting to help me get it working the way i want it to, but I think I'll be waiting a release or so to get everything right.
As i say, two things, so two posts.
Firstly, where has the 'Up' button or parent folder button gone from Nautilus? I use it a lot and its a real pain not having it. I might have missed something in the settings, it might be obvious.. but could someone put me out of my misery and tell me?
Thanks,
David

Use the breadcrumbs (buttons above the content area, to the left of the arrows) to go "up". There's no need for an "up" button when a function to go up multiple levels at once is right there . You can also use Alt+Up (as it says in the "Go" menu) to open the parent folder relative to the folder you're browsing.

Problem was that in dconf-settings for nautilus preferences, "always-use-location-entry' was true, so i couldnt ever see the breadcrumbs!
having the breadcrumbs solves my problem.
