[Gnome3] Applications don't always show up

Hi,

Sometimes, "Application" doesn't work as expected and i've not managed to understand why (bug or some mysterious "feature").

When i press the "system" key, Gnome shows as usual an "exposé" and the two buttons "Windows" & "Applications".
If i press the "Applications" button, all apps icons should be there, with a list on the right. In my case, *sometimes*, only one icon appears without any list... so, i cannot browse apps by categories.

The search field is void so it's not related to its content. If i use it to search some App, all icons matching my search appear (with the wikipedia & Google buttons, as expected).
If i reset my search, i get the same only one icon.

Same thing happened to me, as soon as I removed alacarte it all worked again.  Something is funky with how alacarte is creating the application references - perhaps it's not supposed to work in Gnome3..but dunno.
