How to display the screen in negative?

Hi,
Is it possible to easily toggle the display of the screen in negative?
Someone showed to me that with a Mac he can do that with one shortcut and now I’m jealous, I want the same on my Arch tongue

My graphics card is a Nvidia (proprietary driver) and I use LXDE with OpenBox, but I don’t really know at which level I have to search.

Thank you smile

English is not my native language, so fell free to correct my mistakes.

Most of the more popular browsers have extensions that will do that for you on specific web pages with the click of a button, but as for doing it with the complete desktop and all applications I do not know.

Philosophy is looking for a black cat in a dark room. Metaphysics is looking for a black cat in a dark room that isn't there. Religion is looking for a black cat in a dark room that isn't there and shouting "I found it!". Science is looking for a black cat in a dark room with a flashlight.

The option is often called reverse video e.g. urxvt has it

       -rv|+rv
Turn on/off simulated reverse video; resource reverseVideo.

I'm pretty sure Compiz / Compiz-fusion has got an option to do that.

Indeed it does. For either an individual window or the entire desktop, switchable with keyboard shortcuts.

You might be able to do this with one of the fancier windows managers (compiz perhaps).
