Problem with Nautilus (Gnome 3)

I just installed Gnome 3 and after a moment of usage it's leaving cursor alive but all the other screen elements are not responding at all; after a while I caught the pattern: it's happening when I open some folder containing image thumbnails in Nautilus; it's not happening when I open the folder with Thunar or I run Nautilus within folders without images. Is it happening to me only? I'm using i7 video chipset, Gnome was installed on Xfce4.

Btw. why can't I start Gnome 3 by "gnome-session" or "ck-launch-session gnome-session" but it's running well when I do "startx" even while I didn't change any settings of xinit... the last one should probably go to "Newbie's Section" where I usually put my posts but, well... ;3
