The last few days I have some problems with ugrading my system. I get the following error:
[smika@archlinux ~]$ sudo pacman -Suy
:: Synchronizing package databases...
core is up to date
extra is up to date
community is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
resolving dependencies...
looking for inter-conflicts...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: catalyst: requires kernel26<2.6.38
:: catalyst-utils: requires xorg-server<1.10.0
Is there a possibility to solve this?
Thanks,
Smika

catalyst 11.3 doesn't support xorg 1.10. That's the problem. What you can do is install catalyst-test from aur.

(Well, I found the same version of catalyst-test in catalyst repo) But can this lack of xorg 1.10 support be fixed in nearest future? I just do not want any *test* software.

On Phoronix there is an info that catalyst 11.4 will also lack xserver 1.10 support, unfortunatelly. 11.5 should bring such official support.
I prepared [xorg19] repo if you want to use stable catalyst and still be able to update your Arch regulary.
As for this:
:: catalyst: requires kernel26<2.6.38
the newest version of catalyst package in [catalyst] repo works fine with 2.6.38

i would either start using catalyst-test or -ati FOSS drivers, still using [xorg19] is a pain.

Has anyone tried catalyst-test yet? The name worries me.
