Cheers, for this. I'll give Aurora a run out along with Nightly
Rauchen verboten

Thanks for this. The nightlies don't play well with fonts since they're not built against local libraries, so this is perfect. I added your repo to https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Un … positories as well, if you don't mind.

Aurora is now built with PGO (Profile Guided Optimization).

Yeah, now all my firefox plugins work with aurora The switch is done

Thank heftig!

Thanks heftig!
Aurora is excellent, but I can't for the life of me get it to open links from the terminal by default. Firefox used to work fine.
Offline
How do you do that? urxvt with urxvt-perls-git? Maybe it would help if you show your ~/.Xdefaults
Offline
Ah, my bad. Here's my .Xdefaults: http://paste.pocoo.org/show/414424/
I changed URxvt.urlLauncher: firefox to aurora but no go.
I've searched for another solution but none of them work sadly. It's not a big deal at the end of the day, just a shame since I'm going to using Aurora as default.
Edit: Nevermind, I got it working now. My .Xdefaults look like this now: http://pastebin.com/ZgCA00y8

You rock heftig. I had been lamenting about not being able to use aurora in arch because of the horrible font rendering in the firefox-bin packages and someone linked me to this repo. Your aurora package is excellent
Offline
@heftig: Thanks for your packages and the repo. FWIW shouldn't aurora be named as firefox-aurora to be clear (or more specific) to the user.

Sorry that was my mistake. I had just updated the firefox official repo package to 5.0 in my system and got that confused with the aurora package.

Iinstaled your zen-kernel and it works nicely, and with bfq too! Just booted without nvidia into it and then installed nvidia-zen without a hitch. Great!
Offline
Added pavucontrol-git and linux-zen.

Hey Heftig! Your new 3.0 zen kernel made my Hauppauge 1300 DVB-T card work again! And my internal Nvidia NIC (forcedeth) !! Neither of them has been working since kernel 2.6.37 despite all kinds of hacks from my side. Great! Thanks for the good work!
Offline
@heftig: I have just discovered your repo today. Really fantastic!!!. Could you please build your ZEN kernel with aufs3? Staying on the egde always feels good, man
Thanks.
EDIT: As far as I understand, ZEN patches are applied to bare kernel so if I want to include aufs3 in ZEN patches, I should make request to ZEN developers. Not you, not here. Sry for my ignorance.

thanks for the great packages, heftig!
On zen-kernel.org I see it says Zen-sched which includes BFS is included, but in the first post you said CFS is used, does the package has support to BFS stuff?
Offline
No, BFS is not used.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but as pkgbuild.com is being used for another purposes [1] and the repo doesn't seem available anymore, Is there any other url that we can use for the repo?
Best Testing Repo Warning: [testing] means it can eat you hamster, catch fire and you should keep it away from children. And I'm serious here, it's not an April 1st joke.

everything will be available at the same url in a few days
