Is a missing man page a bug?

I just install reflector and there's no manual entry for it after doing so.

There appears to have been a man page for reflector in the past, based on this source (at about the 3:20 mark).

reflector --help

This will give you all the options with a brief description of them.

Here is my set up, selecting the top 10 synced mirrors from the US and ordering them according to speed:

reflector -l 10 -c United\ States --sort rate --save /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

Re: Is a missing man page a bug?

Considering reflector has been re-written recently, the man page is most likely just not created yet. Highly unlikely there'd be a packaging bug on that package since the packager is also the author of the software.

Re: Is a missing man page a bug?

Thanks for the responses, and I'm sorry I'm delayed in saying so.

It's an interesting app. I was already familiar with which mirrors work best for me in my local, so when I gave it a try it was interesting to see what mirrors it selected. One thing I noticed was all the mirrors it chose (top 5) where http. I wonder if the way the app works favours http over ftp.

You can ask Xyne, but in my experience the top 2 mirrors tend to be ftp....
