Graphics supported by clutter?

So I'm currently getting an error when I try and run gnome-shell or mutter

Unable to initialize Clutter: Unable to select the newly created GLX context

From what I understand this is because my graphics hardware is not supported right now. Is there anywhere I can find a list of the graphics hardware that is supported?

I haven't seen such a list yet.
Maybe some ppl can post which card/driver combination works well...

My cheap Radeon HD 4650 with the current xorg-radeon driver works almost perfect
(one small graphics glitch when scrolling the application list).
