Bluetooth standby

Hi guys,

Is there an automatic standby-function for Bluetooth connections?

My Bluetooth headset always stops to play sound (via A2DP profile) when I pause the music for a while. I have to turn it on again to let it work.

Can anyone say something about this behaviour?

As much as I understood, does your bluetooth connection die after you stop playing music?

Indeed and I have to turn my headset off and on to establish a new working connection.

Dont know... pairing is lost? Your headset is faulty? Did you try it with another machine?

I haven't tried another machine, but the headset is brand new. So it should work. But I don't know if the pairing really is lost. The Blueman tray icon still shows an established connection.

Its brand new, but it could have some powersaving feature. Take a look at the manual.

The strange thing is, that there are no such problems in HSP/HFP mode, but only in A2DP mode.

I have to correct myself. There is still sound coming but with a lot of dropouts.
