When I was using Windows I used ExtractNow to extract multiple archives at once (the archives were all handle by the program one by one actually, but good enough). Is there such a tool for Linux (and Arch)? Or do I have to make a bash script myself?
Update: ExtraceNow works fine with wine. The only bug I can see at the moment is that the window is resized to as small as it can be at once I move focus to another window or workspace. It would be nice to have a linux util that did the same thing.

yeah Actually I would love to have some more intelligence with renaming and moving but I guess I can wrap up a script and do it. Good training for me

why don't you use file-roller?
you can extrat rar to if you install unrar.
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

In kde install kdeaddons and ark is integrated into konqueror. In gnome install file-roller.

I've got Xarchiver installed. But I want to unpack lots of different archives in different folders with as little work as possible. In ExtractNow which I used in Windows, I just drag a bunch of files or folders into the app and press extract. Then they are extracted into their own folder or a common folder. It depends on my configuration of ExtractNow. What ExtractNow misses is better control to rename the extracted files based on folder name or other criteara.
(I'm using Gnome btw)

Not sure if you still are wanting an answer, however I to love the use of Extract Now. So I simply installed it through Crossover, works like a charm. You must do the drag in drop instead of right click "extract here" though.
