Netbook Makes Popping Sound After Resuming From Suspend

My system76 Starling Netbook makes a quiet popping or clicking sound after resuming from suspend. The sound occurs at pretty regular intervals (about 1/second) but occasionally seems affected by me interacting with my computer. It's hard to tell where it's coming from, but it sounds like its the speakers popping. However changing the sound levels has no effect on it, nor does logging out and logging back in. The only way to get rid of it that I've found so far is to restart.

Re: Netbook Makes Popping Sound After Resuming From Suspend

To me that sounds more like there's a problem with the fan. Try manually disabling it.

Re: Netbook Makes Popping Sound After Resuming From Suspend

Post your dmesg output after resuming from suspend and the output of lsmod and lspci. (in code tags)
I don't know about clicking but popping is normal for sound cards but they usually only pop once.
-- edit
Just in case, post the output of pstree (to make sure that the resume process is not failing to complete).
