Wireless keyboard (Apple)

I have been given one of these stylish new Apple Wireless Keyboards; can't get it to work

I'm using the following dongle:

   ~ $ lsusb | grep -i blue
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0a12:0001 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Bluetooth Dongle (HCI mode)

The dongle requires the modules 'btusb' and 'hci_usb' (http://hardware4linux.info/)

I have loaded:

 ~ $ lsmod | grep bt

Can't find hci_usb anywhere; it's not in the kernel-config either

A wireless Dell keyboard and mouse work flawlessly

Any suggestions?

It looks like your setup is fine, so you might check other factors... interference, low batteries on the keyboard, insufficient range, etc. Sometimes if you have more than one bluetooth/wireless dongle, they can mess with each others' data-stream. It's unlikely this is the problem, but it's something to look into. The old "low battery" thing has gotten me more than a few times (don't assume that "new" batteries from the package work...try some that you KNOW are working to rule out batteries). Range may or may not be an issue, depending on how far away you are. I have a wireless mouse that I use for my home theater which is very finicky about where I am in the room... if I am on one side of the room, it WILL NOT WORK, even though it's closer to the actual receiver *shrug*, I suspect it's some kind of interference, but I really don't know.

As far as compatibility goes, I use an apple USB keyboard from my oooooold powermac (circa turn of the century...haha, always wanted to say that) on a linux computer and it works flawlessly, so I can't imagine it's an issue with apple vs linux.
