I'm trying to install open office. Foloowing the guide I'm  running comand  pacman -S openoffice-base
and the following error occurs:
error: target not found: openoffice-base

What should I do to install openoffice?

Re: Open Office inastallation

I did it. As I understood there is rpm binary package I should repack to arch package. The pckgbuild script in the link above simple not working. Trying to fix it.

I don't think I get it. Did you install libreoffice with 'pacman -S libreoffice'?

I did installed the openoffice with modified pkgbuild script. Should I use libreoffice instead of openoffice?

You can install whichever package suits you.

Q: And why are you calling the software "LibreOffice" instead of "OpenOffice.org"?

A: The OpenOffice.org trademark is owned by Oracle Corporation. Our hope is that Oracle will donate this to the Foundation, along with the other assets it holds in trust for the Community, in due course, once legal etc issues are resolved. However, we need to continue work in the meantime - hence "LibreOffice" ("free office").
