Kernel update to kernel26-2.6.38.4-1 causes keyboard to stop working

After updating to kernel26-2.6.38.4-1, my wireless keyboard and mouse stopped working. I have a Logitech MK710. Downgrading the kernel back to kernel26-2.6.38.3-1 fixes the issue, so I am sure it is related to the kernel package. Furthermore, the USB keyboard works in GRUB and stops working at the login screen. I do not boot into X by default, so I am sure that it is not an issue with X or my xorg.conf.

I found a post with a similar problem. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=117274. The difference is, my keyboard + mouse do not work, even after re-plugging in the USB receiver. Is anyone having this issue, and does anyone think that this could be a different manifestation of the same issue as in the referenced post?
