"Segementation Fault"

I have been having a hard time trying to get arch to work. At first it was the internet, and i couldn't get it to be configured. So i installed arch a second time with my internet and dchp configured. Unfortuanatly i can't do anything. When ever i type in a command for pacman such as "pacman -Sy" I get an unable to connect to servers (long list of em) and then under the list it says segmentation fault...Whats that supposed to mean? and how can i fix it?

Re: "Segementation Fault"

Are you able to serf the web with your Arch install now? Do you have any connectivity at all to the net? Don't know for sure, but the seg fault might be because you can't conect to any of the servers.

Try to ping some other computer or web address. Try a few different ones - some sites have ICMP turned off and can't be pinged.

Re: "Segementation Fault"

Please, post your /etc/pacman.conf and /etc/rc.conf
This looks like a simple configuration problem.

Re: "Segementation Fault"

i fixed it, it was an error with the rc.conf, instead of eth0="dhcp" i had written eth0="dchp"

Simple type, thanks for reminding me to check rc.conf
