[Solved (!)] Putting nic to 10mbps on shutdown/hibernation

I noticed that when i shut down my windows installation, it puts ethernet link to 10mps (yellow led on the switch).
That behaviour can be chaged via nic properties.

I already tried with ethtool, it works as long as the pc is on, but as soon as i shutdown it, nic goes to 100mbps (green led).
I'm asking because linux is my main os and i'd like to do that little powersaving (it would be a watt, more or less, according to lesswatts.org)
I could save more with the power switch on the psu, but that way i will loose wol feature.

Is that possible in linux?

thanks!
