[Solved] No Backlight Support for iMac 10,1 with ATI Radeon HD 4670

Hi,

My /sys/class/backlight directory is empty.
The backlight.c hack compiles and runs but has no effect.
I tried to add acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor to my kernel line.
I'm using the radeon driver.

Help !

I installed Debian 6 on my iMac this morning (not a personal choice, mind you) and had lots of problems to get it to install. In the end it only worked with the fglrx-driver - did you try that already?

Just upgraded to 2.6.39 and now I have a working /sys/class/backlight/apple_backlight/ interface.
