GNOME3 applications don't accept keyboard input, that means sometime no characters appear after pressed the key.
But in firefox/libreoffice, there's no problem, typical programs include gnome-terminal & gedit etc., but xfce4-terminal works well.
anybody runs into this situation?
Thanks.

I think maybe some problem with some library file, xfce-terminal and firefox work fine. All keyboards input in GNOME3 applications work badly.

Same situation, Confirmed here
I'm having the same problem with my laptop after upgrading to gnome 3 :
gnome-terminal , gedit can not accept keyboard input , lower case letters, enter , backspace and so on , but upper case letters are OK.
files can not be renamed with nautilus , also the find function affected in nautilus
while other programs such as xterm ,firefox , pidgin skype , thunar leafpad libreofficecan ...and so on work out of the box .

this bug can be assigned to ibus in my case, I guess.
if change the language to EN in gnome-control-center and restart X, everything will be OK .
