Symlinks not showing up in samba share

hi. I have a samba share in which I want to have a link inside to another directory in the filesystem. pretty simple I would think, but on my Windows clients the link doesn't show up at all. The link works within the filesystem and if a user logs on locally or through SSH they can traverse the link. I have the follow symlinks = yes in my smb.conf but that didn't do anything. I don't know where to go next with this, as no one seems to have this issue. all users have all permissions for everything in this scenario, including the link itself.
help? thanks

Re: Symlinks not showing up in samba share

I am sure there are threads on this, but you may try this in smb.conf

follow symlinks = yes
wide symlinks = yes
unix extensions = no
