Hi.
Does anybody have a Samsung ML-1660 printer working with cups 1.4.6?
I have followed the cup wiki page and there is no way to find these printer on cup administration page

I have a samsung printer ml-2010 amd it's working with latest cups and splix and MODULES=(... !usblp ...)

I have solved it installing cups-usblp from AUR.

I bought this printer recently and to make it work perfectly I indeed had to blacklist usblp module and especially had to use the svn version of splix (because ML-1660 support was added on 02/2011 http://splix.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc … athrev=289 ).
You could also have a look at this article I just write about it --> ML-1660 on Linux (in French sorry)

No you need a much more expensive model for that, such as the ML-3310D.

I know that this is solved, but I wanted to note, that for me, manufacturer driver + blacklisting usblp worked fine.
