Gnome 3 fallback mode remove desktop icons SOLVED

I used to remove desktop icons with gconf in Gnome 2 but gconf-editor in gnome 3 does not seem to have that option. Unless I missed it
Can anyone help please? I like a clear screen. Icons are Computer, Home and Trash.

I've got gnome-tweak tool but can't seem to find the right place in it to delete desktop icons

I guess you find the option called " let file manager handle the desktop" If i'm now wrong. I didn't use gnome3 so a lil bit forgot

I turned that to Off and the offending desktop icons disappeared.
Now I'm beginning to feel at home again
