Burning at minimum speed

I have a old cd burner. MAX witrer: 4x and it is burning at 2x. i am using K3b.  it give an error:

umm..... you sure you're using a blank disc?

totaly sure. when i put 2x it burns perfect, but it take to long.

are you sure the disk is capable of 4x speed? Does it happen with other disks?

I doubt many of us are going to help you with that - I for one do not condone "l33t w4rez" or any crap like that - if you don't want to pay cash, use an OSS alternative
