Starting X with tablet plugged/plugging tablet with X running causes a segfault with input-wacom-0.10-9.
This is a known problem with a patch on the Wacom mailing list.
I don't feel like rebuilding X, a new release will probably come out before I finished, but, possibly, this will save someone else from several hours of playing around.

I can confirm this. Not only does starting X with the tablet plugged in cause a segfault, but plugging the tablet in while X is running will cause it to crash.
My workaround was to downgrade the following packages:
[2011-04-28 08:59] upgraded xf86-input-wacom (0.10.9-1 -> 0.10.8-2)
[2011-04-28 09:13] upgraded xf86-input-evdev (2.6.0-3 -> 2.6.0-2)
[2011-04-28 09:13] upgraded xf86-input-keyboard (1.6.0-2 -> 1.6.0-1)
[2011-04-28 09:13] upgraded xf86-input-mouse (1.7.0-2 -> 1.7.0-1)
[2011-04-28 09:13] upgraded xf86-input-synaptics (1.4.0-2 -> 1.4.0-1)
[2011-04-28 09:13] upgraded xorg-server-common (1.10.1-1 -> 1.9.4.901-1)
[2011-04-28 09:13] upgraded xorg-server (1.10.1-1 -> 1.9.4.901-1)
[2011-04-28 09:13] upgraded xf86-video-ati (6.14.1-1 -> 6.14.0-2)
[2011-04-28 09:13] upgraded xf86-video-vesa (2.3.0-5 -> 2.3.0-4)
Just restarted the X-server and everything seems to work again.
Edit: Or just install xf86-input-wacom-git from AUR; that seems to fix it without requiring a downgrade.

+1, This worked for me. Thanks for the tip!
