thanks.
just add two numbers for the percent of transparency:
e.g.
#00000090
will make black with 90% opacity

Been using awesome for a few days, still getting the hang of it but so far it's pretty nifty. My config doesn't stray too much from the defaults right now, and I still need to read up on widgets. And lua.

guys, your awesome-wm desktops eats A LOT of ram, i read 500/700mb with a few programs open and a browser....
maybe you use too much "gnome" thingies for your indicators and stuff...
my awesome with firefox open is about 200mb, and 80/100mb without firefox....

The applets have very little to do with it. And the only actual gnome applet I have is for volume.
I get about ~265MB used with most things closed, save for a few terminals and a couple instances of geany. Yes, it might be higher than your usage, but I get along just fine with 2GB of memory.

Cross-post from May thread:
got bored of the old one, so another new-ish theme. :>
Thinking about changing my colour scheme though; doesn't really fit as it is.

Nice one - actually one of the few tiling wm screenshots I really like!

From the other side of the colour spectrum.
@demian
Earlier on, you asked for the themes, here they are. Wallpapers and .Xdefaults are included with all.
Gray Circles, Gray Fractal, and Muted Dream Tree (irssi theme included).
