I Can't Update my Newly Installed Arch

I want to have a 64 bit Linux which runs in xfce that I will install in my Asus Eee 1251T. I heard so much praise to 64b Arch so I tried it. I installed it using a bootable USB, followed the instructions in the wiki and some Youtube videos. I know I've followed them correctly.
So after all the installation, the system ask me to reboot (the usual). My newly installed Arch booted with no prob.

Going to the next step which is updating the packages, typed # pacman -Syu. the kernel replied sets of "error failed retrieving file..."
By the way my laptop is connected through LAN cable. (eth0="dhcp", gateway=default).

Please help me with this. Can't move on to do the next steps.
Can't seem to have my beginner's luck.:D

Thank.

Re: I Can't Update my Newly Installed Arch

I'm using Indonesia's Server.

Just a follow up question, I tried pinging google.com the reply was "ping unknown host google.com"

Tell me it's a big problem? I can't connect to the net...:(

how can i do that?

i tried changing eth0 with eth1 hoping it is the correct one but when I restart the network (# /etc/rc.d/network restart) stopping network gave me a [FAIL} output then eth1: unknown interface: No such Device. So I returned to eth0, restarted the network then boom, worst is I also don't have such device.

Instead of randomly changing interfaces, read the Network wiki page and work through the procedures described there.
