CBC seems to have changed their audio streaming format. Clementine and VLC are both unable to play CBC1, Clementine complaining that it's missing a gstreamer-plugin. I've installed them all. No change.
CBC's mediaplayer isn't working either.
CBC ogg streams aren't there any more. At least not in a location I can find.

Same here ... but this is not new.
I have been unable to play CBC for awhile.
I think hey are using some MS streaming tool that is not compatible with our software.

If you use the "Direct URL's" links on this page: http://www.cbc.ca/listen/index.html does anything work?
EDIT: I can get some (sketchy) playback from gnome-mplayer for CBC Radio 1 Windsor; but the others are no longer working. It's the CBC, though: Let's give it a day or two and they may well mess up messing everything up and it'll work again for a while. :^)
At present, the announcement that the direct URL's have changed is 3rd from the top: http://www.cbc.ca/contact/announcements/ and points to the URL above. I have emailed them asking (something to the effect of) "WTF?!" I'll report back if and when I receive a reply.

Thanks for the feedback. I worry that I"m the only one struggling here.
Edit: Visit http://www.cbc.ca/listen/index.html with NoScript blocking cbc.ca.
Clicking on "Direct URL's to Radio One" will take you to http://www.cbc.ca/listen/includes/directr1.html
To play the stream in your browser you'd have to unblock "streamtheworld.com"
or paste your *.pls link into your media player. Clementine is working.
