Lately, I've been having a problem with Python. Every once in a while, Python starts to eat up ridiculous amounts of memory (120+ megs) and CPU time (60% or more, often above 90%). When this happens, Python-based apps stop working - btdownloadgui stops downloading, for example, and fails to update the information about active torrents.

Nope, it isn't the MM kernel. Still the exact same problem wtih the stock kernel... Bah! Removed and reinstalled Python, I'll see if that helps...

happening for me too - i emailed the bt maintiner, thinking it was bittorrent... and downgraded... I think it's pygtk, and console python apps don't do it

Bleh... Well, I can ditch Bittorrent shortly, then this problem will plague me no more.

is your issue with bittorrent too? it may not be pygtk... because grip works perfectly.... hmmmm
Offline
Yep... As I said, I won't be needing it very shortly though.
