[SOLVED] text disappeared from KDE icons on desktop

something that has been bothering me, the icons on my desktop have no text, they are just blank as far as text goes.  what setting did i inadvertently change?
I only have 2 icons, trash bin, and my user directory, but it bugs. :-|

this is still happening i would appreciate somebody sharing with me the solution.  i have been patiently monitoring this topic.  i have not seen text on my desktop icon almost since day 1 of having kde installed.  im thinking i accidentally toggled a setting and didnt notice it till it was too late.  anybody?
