[SOLVED]id3 tag album art has no effect

I use easytag for editing id3 tags and it usually works fine. I got a compilation album from Amazon mp3 and I seperated the songs into 3 different albums, so they weren't all jumbled together. I wanted to use the album art or cover picture for each album, instead of the art for the compilation, but it didn't work. I was able to successfully put album art onto an album I ripped of a cd in ogg format, but not on these. For some reason, I had to change the art for every individual song, not by album, because when I selected all the files, it only edited to first one or the last 1 I clicked on. I deleted the old art from withing easytag and added the new picture, and when I opened it up in banshee, it kept using the old art, even after I rescanned my music library. On my mp3 player (cowon d2+) the album art doesnt show up at all (just the default for when none is present) I also tried ex falso, but I couldn't figure out how to change the image. So how do I fix this (not a big deal, I know, but still is annoying lol), or what am I doing wrong? Also, I have the pictures in the same folders as the music files and I have no idea where the image for the compilation album is. Also, I did click the box to apply the tag to the selected files. I had forgotten at first, but it made no difference when I did do it. Thanks.

I got it to work after trying again and putting a jpeg in the same directory as the music and naming it cover.jpg. I guess png files aren't supported by the d2. So, now the album art comes up correctly on my mp3 player, but banshee still uses the old cover. I have deleted banshee's cache and rescanned the music library, but that hasn't made a difference. The cover art shows what I want it to in Goggles, but not Banshee. I'm probably gonna be switching to goggles anyway, I just tried it and its very nice, banshee has more features, but features are overrated
