posting a blacklisted package (muparser)

Hi,

muparser is a package that is used by qtiplot and scidavis, maybe other software. Archlinux actually delivers muparser 1.34 which is incompatible with scidavis. Scidavis is maybe the best plotting software that does curve fitting in linux.

I tried to submit muparser version 1.32 which is supported by scidavis but it is blacklisted because the official repository contains muparser 1.34. What could be done in order to be able to install scidavis from aur with muparser 1.32?

I see that there is a lib32-muparser in aur. What's the difference?

Can I modify the name and use lib-muparser?

(right now, I' m using abs but it is not optimal)

I think you meant 1.34 here.

Have you tried posting about this issue on the http://mailman.archlinux.org/mailman/li … ur-general ?

lib32-* is for using 32-bit apps on 64-bit system.

Yes, exactly! I'm correcting this right now!
