Hello, I installed uvesafb, so my terminal resolution has changed, its higher than before but not the max, its something like 1024 i guess, I have tried to change the default from /etc/modprobe.d/uvesafb but nothing changes, what can I do? Seems like its still using vesa drivers with the terminal but the resolution was lower before installing uvesafb anyway...

36 - A strict and limited set of supported video modes. Often the native
37 or most optimal resolution/refresh rate for your setup will not work
38 with uvesafb, simply because the Video BIOS doesn't support the
39 video mode you want to use. This can be especially painful with
40 widescreen panels, where native video modes don't have the 4:3 aspect
41 ratio, which is what most BIOS-es are limited to.
If you expect e.g. 1440x900 resolution you may be out of luck.
What graphics card do you have?

If you're using open source ati driver https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/At … _.28KMS.29 you should have native resolution w/o uvesafb - is that an option?

yeah I got native resolution when I was using radeon drivers, but now I switched to catalyst and then installed uvesafb...

It seems you may not be able to run at a higher or native resolution in the terminal.
