Dell Studio XPS 16 Notebook Touch Controls

Afternoon gentlemen (and ladies),

I'm new here, so I didn't know whether I should be posting here or in the Newbie Corner, but I thought this board would be more fitting.

I have a Studio XPS 16 from Dell, and it has a number of touch controls along the top of the keyboard. There is a wifi toggle, 4 media keys (back, stop, pause/play, skip), mute toggle, volume up, volume down, and a CD eject. The wifi toggle works fine, though the only way I know is because my wifi just dies when I press it. All the others are defunct at the moment.

What I'm asking for is some help finding a method to enable the CD tray eject control, because I don't really need the others. I'm reasonably comfortable using the shell, but everything I've learned about Linux was gathered from hunting Google results and trying random things, so I'm still pretty much a noob.

Sorry if I messed up some forum etiquette or posted wrong, but I would really appreciate some help here :x

Thanks in advance big_smile
