Do you have any specific questions / issues you would like to ask about? Maybe you should just try it out yourself.

Re: NILFS2 as the main filesystem

I tried it once on a spare laptop to see how it performs. It was pretty good, but not as good as I expected. And what was totally going on my nerves is that daemon which cleans the file system to free up space. Firstly, this thing running made the laptop unusable and secondly, it didn't work quite well, the ~-partition was full within very little days, although I only had data of a tenth of the filesystem size on it.

But give it a try, maybe it has improved, I don't know, but it's definitely an experience.

Re: NILFS2 as the main filesystem

Yes.
Anything I can add? :-p
It works well for me, performance seems fine and I've had a fair number of power-outages but no corruption... So I'm fairly happy with it :-)
Also the main guy who seems to do the majority of development on it seems really helpful, so if I did have any issues I don't think I'd feel stranded either :-)
