iwlagn / aicrack-ng / compat-wireless-patched

Hi all,

I came across compat-wireless-patched and thought that would solve all my problems for the -1 channel issue.  But after installing and loading the drivers, I can no long see my wireless device with ifconfig or iwconfig.  Dmesg prints out the devices is there as well as lspci.

If I uninstall the compat-wireless-patched package, wireless works again.

Has anyone else had any luck with that package and iwlagn?  It should be the same thing as applying the patch to the kernel, the only difference is I am patching it manually and don't automatically have the original drivers backed up.

Thanks,

Walter

What do you want to solve ?

I want to solve the problem where I get the error, -1 channel error ...  I don't have the error message in front of me, to be precise, but it is basically reporting that it cannot set the channel ...
