Totem: mozilla plugin compiled, where the heck did it go?!

Just compiled totem-xine with the Mozilla plugin, after seeing instructions for using the plugin on the Ubuntu forums... There should be libtotem_mozilla files in [prefix]/lib/mozilla/plugins, in this case in /opt/gnome/lib/mozilla/plugins, and in order to use the plugin, those must be copied to the directory that Firefox uses for plugins.

The problem is, those libtotem_mozilla files do not exist. The plugin seems to have compiled successfully, but the files aren't there, or anywhere else! WTF happened?

I used the mozplugger pkg from here http://archlinux.antesis.org/community/ … pkg.tar.gz with mozpluggerrc from the Ubuntu forums http://www.ubuntuforums.org/attachment. … mentid=392 and the Arch totem-xine package and embedded movies play in Opera, Mozilla, Firefox, Galeon and Epiphany.

Re: Totem: mozilla plugin compiled, where the heck did it go?!

Yes, I know about Mozplugger, I've used it before. It works... But it has problems embedding controls, so I'm trying the actual Totem plugin.

Anyway, as I said before: in order to get the Totem plugin to work, you have to symlink /opt/gnome/lib/mozilla/plugins/libtotem_mozilla.* to whatever directory Mozilla/Firefox uses for plugins. The problem is, the relevent files don't appear in /opt/gnome/lib/mozilla/plugins, even though they appear to have been compiled.

BTW, the current versions of totem and totem-xine are out of date... Should be version 1.1.2.
