I want to run kernel26-ck on my laptop which has a Broadcom wireless card that uses brcm80211. The wireless works fine in the normal kernel with no extra work (since brcm80211 was included in the kernel since 2.6.37) however when I compile kernel26-ck & reboot into it the wireless doesn't work. I have tried doing a localmodconfig after ensuring that the module was loaded & have also tried doing a normal compile with all modules, however neither works. Incidentally I have also compiled kernel26-mainline a few times & have the same problems.
I have tried using make menuconfig & enabling everything I can see in staging drivers etc. about broadcom wireless, but to no avail. The result after each compilation is the same - the brcm80211 module cannot be found.
Can anybody help? I usually use a wired connection when at home or at work (gigE is nice!), but I don't want to reboot into the default kernel each time I need to use wireless!
